At Ashbourne Window Cleaning, we use a modern water-fed pole system to deliver exceptional window cleaning results. This method allows us to clean windows up to several stories high safely from the ground, eliminating the need for ladders and reducing any risk of damage to your property.
Our Process:
1. Pure Water Technology – We use deionized, purified water that attracts and lifts dirt from the glass, leaving windows spot-free and streak-free without the need for harsh chemicals.
2. Eco-Friendly Cleaning – Since our system relies on pure water rather than detergents, it’s safe for your home, garden, pets, and the environment.
3. Frame & Sill Cleaning Included – Unlike traditional methods that focus only on the glass, our service washes the entire window unit, including frames and sills.
4. Minimal Disruption – Our process is quick, efficient, and hassle-free, with no need for access inside your property in most cases.
5. Longer-Lasting Results – Pure water naturally repels dirt, meaning your windows stay cleaner for longer compared to traditional cleaning methods.
We take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality service with a focus on customer satisfaction. Whether it’s residential or commercial window cleaning, you can count on us for a professional, streak-free finish every time.
How We Clean
What is water-fed pole window cleaning?
It’s a modern method that uses a lightweight telescopic pole with a soft-bristled brush at the end, connected to a purified water system. This allows windows to be cleaned from the ground, eliminating the need for ladders in most cases. The purified water lifts dirt and grime, and because it contains no minerals or contaminants, it dries naturally without leaving streaks or residue.
How does purified water clean windows better?
Regular tap water contains minerals and impurities that leave marks when they dry. Purified water goes through a filtration process—usually involving reverse osmosis and deionization—to remove these minerals, making it completely pure. When applied to glass, the water actively absorbs dirt, and because it has no impurities, it dries clear without the need for wiping. This ensures a streak-free and spot-free finish.
Will my windows dry spot-free without being wiped?
Yes. Since the water is purified, it doesn’t leave behind any mineral deposits or streaks. It simply evaporates, leaving your windows crystal clear. Traditional window cleaning often uses detergents, which can leave a residue that attracts dirt more quickly. Purified water cleaning avoids this, keeping windows cleaner for longer.
Does water-fed pole cleaning work on all types of windows?
Yes, it’s suitable for most windows, including modern double glazing, sash windows, and conservatories. It’s also effective on Velux (roof) windows and skylights. However, very old wooden windows with flaking paint or damaged seals may need extra care.
Can you clean windows in the rain?
Light rain doesn’t affect the cleaning process, as purified water works independently of weather conditions. However, in heavy rain or storms, rescheduling may be necessary if the cleaning wouldn’t be effective or safe.
Service & Process
Do you clean the window frames and sills as well?
Yes, I always clean the frames and sills as part of the service. The water-fed pole method naturally rinses away dirt from these areas, leaving them looking fresh.
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
It depends on your location and preference. Many customers opt for a clean every 4 or 8 weeks to keep their windows looking great. If you live in a high-traffic or rural area where dirt builds up faster, you may want more frequent cleaning.
Do I need to be home for the cleaning?
No, as long as I have access to the windows. If you have locked gates or need to provide instructions, just let me know beforehand. I’ll send a text when the clean is complete and include payment details.
What areas do you cover?
I cover Ashbourne and the surrounding villages. If you’re unsure whether you’re within my service area, just ask.
Do you use ladders or only the pole system?
I primarily use the water-fed pole system, which allows me to clean up to several storeys high from the ground. Ladders are only used for occasional access if necessary.
